Recent visit from Essex Market Shaping:

Spending a day with care provider
We have begun the next phase of our Market Engagement which is to visit care providers across a wide range of service types. The aim is to learn from their daily challenges, and to build stronger lasting relationship that will support enhancement to service delivery.
The Market Shaping project team kicked off this work last week with Kirti and Tabby visiting Ferrier’s Barn, a Day Opportunity centre in Bures.
The centre offers a wide range of meaningful activities for all adults with any ability, and they embrace the individuality and support everyone to be independent for longer.  This day opportunity centre is run by a highly dedicated and passionate manager who shows every confidence in her staff and volunteers to deliver a personalised service.
We spoke to adults in receipt of the service as well as each staff members, and the feedback was very positive; staff love their jobs, and the adults enjoy spending their time at the centre.
Ferrier’s Barn provides volunteering opportunities and is always keen to take on new members – please remember to use your volunteering days with ECC, and consider visiting the day centre. For more information, please email Nicola at ferriersbarn@timetalk.co.uk
