As Ferriers Barn is a registered charity we have to keep our running costs as low as possible.
We have a skeleton staff who are here most of the time, but we do rely somewhat on volunteers.
If you would be interested in becoming a volunteer with us we would love to hear from you. We are a great bunch and being at Ferriers Barn is always fun. Our members love interacting with new people as well and having the regular staff.
We look for people who are kind, funny, outgoing and optimistic. You don't need to be particularly crafty or good with wood to be a great volunteer.

We have had school leavers here in the past who want to gain experience in the real world. If they are interested in going into the caring profession it is a great way to start.
