What a day with us looks like.

If you like the look of Ferriers Barn and think it could be the place for you, we offer a free taster day, so you can join us for the day with no pressure, see who we are and what we do.

Our days run -  Monday - Friday , 10am - 3pm.

Each day is planned and run by a tutor, they will always have engaging and exciting things for you to do, however if its not something you fancy or your having an 'off' day, we are happy to provide other activities or just sit and chat. We believe in a person centred approach and enabling you to make decisions about the way you spend your day. 
We break for coffee at 11am and lunch at 12.30pm.

We can provide a two course hot meal, suited to all dietary requirements. You just need to book it in.

After lunch, we either continue with the mornings activities, or, we play games, bingo, enjoy quizzes, hangman and Pictionary.

We love to celebrate YOU, when its your birthday you are spoilt with gifts, cake and of course singing  and at Christmas we defiantly know how to party.

Our members love the visiting animals, our reflexologist, exercise sessions and much more in house entertainment.

We also have a beautiful sensory room ready for you should you need a break and space to reset.

We love getting out and about in the community, enjoying trips to the  Panto, Colchester Castle, Colchester Zoo and our trips to the pub are always a favourite. 

We have an adapted minibus which goes out through Essex Mondays - Thursday and currently has space for 2 people - please enquire if we cover your area.

Our prices as of 01/03/2026 - Day Fee - £60 - Lunch Fee - £7 - Travel on our bus - £15 for a return journey.
